JUST IN: Kano gov reinstates anti-corruption boss sacked by Ganduje
On Wednesday, the Governor of Kano State, Abba Yusuf, gave his approval for the reinstatement of Muhyi Rimingado as the Chairman of the Public Complaints and Anti Corruption Commission. Governor Yusuf stated that the reinstatement aims to ensure that Rimingado, who faced challenges during his tenure, completes his term.
According to The PUNCH, the previous administration led by Dr Abdullahi Ganduje had terminated Rimingado's appointment in January 2023. Rimingado, however, contested his dismissal, asserting that he was not afforded a fair hearing. This action followed a recommendation for his dismissal by the state House of Assembly approximately two years prior.
