In an interview with Adelani Adepegba and Gift Habib, Jerry Eze, the convener of the New Season Prophetic Prayers and lead pastor of Streams of Joy International, discussed his life, ministry, and the factors that led him to leave his lucrative job with the United Nations to become a pastor.
Jerry Eze explained that he came to the realization that there was no higher calling than the call of God on one's life. He recognized that fulfilling God's purpose for his life was more important than any human satisfaction or personal desires. He acknowledged that while his secular job may have had its own appeal, he felt compelled to answer the call of God and fulfill his destiny. He believed that he had a mandate to fulfill, as there was a generation waiting to hear his voice.
Jerry Eze's decision to leave his secular job was driven by his conviction to do the work of God, even when it may not have been immediately exciting or appealing to him personally. He placed a higher value on his purpose and the impact he could make through his ministry.
