However, the president's announcement was met with a range of responses, and petrol stations swiftly raised fuel prices, causing a surge in public reactions. In light of these events, Baba-Ahmed has cautioned President Tinubu against taking credit for the removal of fuel subsidies, suggesting that the consequences of the decision have been contentious and have negatively affected the public.
